We are seeking a talented and passionate 3D Character Artist to join our team and help bring our game characters to life. As a 3D Character Artist, you will work closely with our art a nd design teams to create visually stunning and memorable characters that enhance the overall gaming experience.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Create high-quality 3D character models, textures, and animations for use in games.
2. Collaborate with art directors, game designers, and animators to develop character concepts and bring them to life.
3. Ensure that character designs are consistent with the game’s art style and vision.
4. Optimize character assets for performance and memory constraints without sacrificing visual quality.
5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in character design and 3D modeling.
6. Work closely with the development team to integrate character assets into the game engine and troubleshoot any technical issues.
7. Provide feedback and guidance to junior artists to help them improve their skills and grow professionally.
8. Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality character assets that meet or exceed expectations.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Animation, Game Design, or related field.
2. Proven experience as a 3D Character Artist in the gaming industry.
3. Proficiency in 3D modeling software such as Maya, ZBrush, or Blender.
4. Strong understanding of anatomy, form, and proportion in character design.
5. Excellent texturing and shading skills to create realistic and visually appealing characters.
6. Knowledge of rigging and animation principles to create dynamic and expressive character animations.
7. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
8. Portfolio showcasing previous character art projects and demonstrating creativity and technical skills.
